Nacra 15 Mainsail - Kangaroo Sails

For the Nacra 15, Kangaroo Sails makes this mainsail in three cuts. The Beach cut suits leisure sailing, while the Hightech or Decksweeper cut with more panels is for racers who want a clean profile. The sail can be measured on request, and you choose cloth, window and battens to match.

Cut options

• Beach cut for leisure sailors: panels radiating from the head and clew – 4 from the head, 10 from the clew, 1 along the luff. Flat, horizontal reinforcements; batten pockets in white Dacron.
• Hightech or Decksweeper cut for racing sailors: 6 panels from the head, 11 from the clew, 1 along the luff. More panels follow the loads in the sail more closely for a better profile. Reinforcements cut flat and fully bonded; batten pockets in the sailcloth.

Cloth choice

• White Dacron: woven polyester cloth, easy to handle and durable.
• Pentex in black, smoke, white or silver: three-layer laminate for racing and cruising – Pentex fibres in the core for high strength and shape retention at low weight, Mylar film outside, bonded under pressure.
• Mylar in smoke, blue, white, green or red: built like Pentex, but with polyester fibres.
