Nacra F18 Evolution Decksweeper Mainsail - Kangaroo Sails

This Nacra F18 Evolution Decksweeper mainsail from Kangaroo Sails is made for racing sailors. It is based on the Hightech/Decksweeper cut, whose extra panels align the cloth better with the loads in the sail and give a better profile. Choose the cloth, window, battens and measurement to suit the way you sail.

Cut

• Decksweeper (Hightech/Decksweeper cut for racing sailors): radial cut with 6 panels from the head, 11 from the clew and 1 panel along the luff
• Reinforcements cut flat and fully bonded
• Batten pockets in the same cloth as the sail
• Window and multi-colour layout possible

Options

• Window: yes or no
• Battens: none, or battens for the Decksweeper (DS)
• Measurement: optional
• Qbond: yes or no (Q-Bond: panels bonded under high pressure instead of stitched – no needle holes, so the sail is lighter, holds its shape better and lasts longer)

Sailcloth

• Dacron in white: woven polyester cloth with good handling and a long life.
• Pentex in black, smoke, white or silver: a three-layer laminate for racing and cruising. The Pentex fibre core gives high strength and shape stability at low weight, with Mylar film outside and all layers bonded under pressure.
• Mylar in smoke, white, blue, green or red: same construction as Pentex, but with polyester fibres.
