Our Formula 18 mainsail is the crown jewel of the Kangaroo Sails Regatta Series. Through the perfect fusion of over 20 years of sailing experience and countless hours on the water, this mainsail has become a success magnet for regatta sailors.

Last year, the F18 Decksweeper mainsail from Kangaroo Sails nearly conquered all domestic regattas in Germany. A performance proof that we are very proud of.

We offer two variants of our mainsail:

Beach: For the relaxed leisure sailor, this model is characterized by its radial cut with 4 panels from the head, 10 panels from the sheet, and one panel along the luff. The batten pockets are made of white Dacron, while the lower panels can optionally be made of window foil. A multicolor cut is possible for a colorful appearance. Flat reinforcements provide additional stability.

Hightech/Decksweeper: Perfectly designed for the regatta sailor, this model is distinguished by its radial cut with 6 panels from the head, 11 panels from the sheet, and one panel along the luff. The optimal profile is achieved through the use of more panels at the head, the leech, and the luff. Batten pockets made from the same fabric as the sail, windows, and multi-color design possibilities complete the offer. Flat, fully bonded reinforcements ensure a robust structure.

Additionally, you can choose from three fabric variants:

Pentex: Ideal for regatta and leisure sailing. This laminate consists of three layers, with the core layer consisting of Pentex fibers providing excellent strength and shape stability at low weight. The outer layers are made of Mylar films that are bonded under pressure.

Mylar: This variant has the same structure as Pentex, but uses polyester fibers.

Dacron: A woven sailcloth made of polyester fibers. Dacron offers pleasant handling and long durability.
