Goodall Design C2 Mainsail - Kangaroo Sails

With the Goodall Design C2 mainsail you sail a sail from the Kangaroo Sails Formula 18 racing range. It builds on over 20 years of sailing experience and countless hours on the water. For the C2 we make it in the Beach cut or as a Hightech or Decksweeper sail, measured on request.

Cuts at a glance

• Beach for leisure sailors: radial cut with 4 panels from the head, 10 from the clew and 1 panel along the luff. Batten pockets in white Dacron, flat reinforcements; the lower panels can be window film and a multi-colour layout is possible.
• Hightech / Decksweeper for racing sailors: radial cut with 6 panels from the head, 11 from the clew and 1 along the luff. The extra panels in the head and foot improve the profile. Batten pockets made from the sailcloth, reinforcements cut flat and fully bonded; window and multi-colour design possible. On a Decksweeper the foot reaches down to just above the trampoline (usually with a curved boom): sail and trampoline act like an end plate, reducing the tip vortices along the foot for better pointing and speed upwind. Widely used in racing since the 2017 F18 Worlds.

Cloths

• Pentex in black, smoke, white, silver or red: a three-layer laminate for racing and leisure sailing, with a Pentex fibre core for high strength and shape stability at low weight and Mylar film outer layers bonded under pressure.
• Mylar in white, blue or green: structure as Pentex, with polyester fibres.
• Dacron in white: woven polyester cloth – pleasant to handle and long-lasting.
