Nacra Inter 17 Jib - Kangaroo Sails

With the Nacra Inter 17 jib from Kangaroo Sails, the sail brand of Sven Lindstädt Segeltechnik, your catamaran gets a new headsail in one of three cuts. Leisure sailors, club racers and regatta sailors each find the right cut; cloth, colour, battens and window are added as required.

Cut options for the Nacra Inter 17

• Easy – for leisure sailors: durable white Dacron with panels at right angles to the leech. The low panel count means few seams that can fail and an economical build. Flat, horizontal reinforcements.
• Beach – for leisure and club racing sailors: radial cut from the head, tack and clew with 2 panels from the head and 6 from the tack and clew. The cloth follows the loads in the sail, and the sail has few seams. Radial reinforcements.
• Hightech – for racing sailors: radial cut with 3 panels from the head, 6 from the clew and 1 from the tack. The extra panels improve the match to the loads and allow finer profiling. Radial, fully bonded reinforcements.

Configuration

• Cloth: white Dacron, Pentex (black, smoke, white, silver) or Mylar (smoke, blue, white, green, red)
• Window: yes or no
• Battens: full-length, for a furling system, or straight
• Qbond option (yes or no): the panels are joined with the patented Q-Bond process, bonded under high pressure instead of stitched – no needle holes, so the sail is lighter, holds its shape better and lasts longer.

The cloths

• Dacron: woven polyester sailcloth, easy to handle and long-lasting.
• Pentex: laminate for racing and cruising made of three layers bonded under pressure – Pentex fibres in the core for high strength and shape stability at low weight, Mylar film outside.
• Mylar: the same laminate construction, but with polyester fibres.
