Nacra F18 Infusion Jib - Kangaroo Sails

For the Nacra F18 Infusion, Kangaroo Sails makes a jib with 4.15 m² of sail area that can be supplied measured on request. Alongside the Hightech cut for Formula 18 racing, the Beach cut and the Easy cut are available. You decide on the cloth, colour, battens and window.

The cuts

• Hightech – for racing sailors: radial with 3 panels from the head, 6 from the clew and 1 from the tack. The higher panel count follows the loads in the sail even more closely and allows a finer profile. Reinforcements cut radially and fully bonded.
• Beach – for leisure and club racing sailors: radial with 2 panels from the head and 6 from the tack and clew. The cloth is aligned with the loads and there are only a few seams.
• Easy – for leisure sailors: durable white Dacron, panels at right angles to the leech. Few seams that can fail, an economical build, flat and horizontal reinforcements.

Sailcloth

• Pentex in black, smoke, white or silver: three-layer laminate for racing and cruising – Pentex fibre core for high strength and shape stability at low weight, Mylar film outside, bonded under pressure.
• Mylar in smoke, white, blue, green or red: built like Pentex, but with polyester fibres.
• Dacron in white: woven polyester cloth, easy to handle and long-lasting.
