Goodall Design C2 Jib - Kangaroo Sails

Kangaroo Sails builds a dedicated jib for the Goodall Design C2 in three cuts. The Easy cut is for leisure sailors, the Beach cut for leisure and club racing, and the Hightech cut with more panels for racers on the Formula 18 course. Cloth, window, battens, measurement and Qbond are selected to suit you.

Cuts at a glance

• Easy cut in durable white Dacron: panels at right angles to the leech, so there are few seams that can fail and the sail is economical to build. Flat, horizontal reinforcements.
• Beach cut: radial cut with 2 panels from the head and 6 from the tack and clew. The panels follow the loads in the sail and there are only a few seams. Radial reinforcements.
• Hightech cut: radial cut with 3 panels from the head, 6 from the clew and 1 from the tack. More panels for an even better match to the loads and a more finely adjustable profile; radial, fully bonded reinforcements.

• Qbond option: panels bonded with the patented Q-Bond process instead of stitched – no needle holes, so lighter, more shape-stable and longer-lasting

Cloth choice

• White Dacron: woven polyester sailcloth, easy to handle and durable.
• Pentex in black, smoke, white or silver: a three-layer laminate for racing and cruising. Pentex fibres in the core provide high strength and shape retention at low weight, with Mylar film on both sides; all layers are bonded under pressure.
• Mylar in smoke, blue, white, green or red: the same laminate construction as Pentex, but with polyester fibres.
