Nacra F20 Carbon, FCS

The Nacra F20 Carbon comes in two versions. The C-board version offers conventional catamaran sailing: the lift from the boards gives a direct steering feel, and downwind they generate enough lift to raise the front of the boat out of the water in a controlled way.

The Nacra F20 Carbon FCS, on the other hand, is full-foiling – FCS stands for Foiling Control System. The catamaran takes off in as little as 7 knots of wind. Unlike the Nacra 17, it flies on three foils rather than four, and speeds of over 30 knots come quickly. Its design draws on the foiling catamarans of the America's Cup and is tuned throughout for speed.
